TIP OF THE DAY: Hit the gym, boost your memory. Recent research has found that people who hit the gym do better on memory tests than those who don't. According to Columbia University Medical Center, exercise targets a region within the hippocampus, one area of the brain where new neurons are generated. Exercising appears to stimulate and improve the process.
